Vandy (full ride) or Yale or Dartmouth

That's my dilemma. Also have a full ride at my state's flagship (UMich.)
Any input?

I'm at Dartmouth now and I love it. If I were in your situation, I would probably go Yale, but I suppose it really depends on personal taste.
Is financial aid going to be a deciding factor? Did you visit all three?

I'd pick Yale unless:
A) You're real big on the outdoors, then Dartmouth
B) You're real strapped for cash, then Vanderbilt

then Yale, no contest.
But if you're really getting a full ride at Vandy, then take it and enjoy the wide variety of lovely southern belles.

Go to Vanderbilt. I was in a similar situation and chose UCLA. I don't regret it at all.

hottest girls that are um, somewhat intelligent
most marriageable
i'd definitely pick vandy girls over UF girls.
that said, i know a girl from HS who turned down 23 of top 24 schools (only rejection from yale, all other accepted) and went to BC full ride.
partied for 4 years and now at Yale Med School. that was her plan all along, too.
but college is more than just a gateway to jobs and grad schools. it's also an experience. and while parties and girls and good weather at Vandy are certainly attractive, so are the caliber of people you will meet at Dartmouth and Yale (no offense to Vandy, but definitely in a different class).
and uh, you gotta admit. the people at Yale are also of a different class than those at Dartmouth. I'm a D alum, and I loved the school, and I know some great dudes, but ain't none of my classmates gonna lead the free world or nothing.

and who do we have, really? as much as i love dartmouth, we produce successful rich professionals, ones that will help me get awesome jobs and be totally sweet dudes and play pong for the rest of my adult life (and all of this is important), the closest they've come to the white house was as a speech writer.
and yeah, nelson rockefeller, but he wasn't much better than GW.

I would rather be an intelligent rich professional than a stupid politician.
Oh, and I think Dr. Seuss trumps all!

right, because yale does not produce intelligent rich professionals and dartmouth does not produce stupid people (i don't think we do too much politics).
hey, dartmouth has graduated me, and that's a shame enough.

I went to Y. Had a great time. Brilliant people, and not so brilliant people as well. The residential colleges do help distinguish Yale's collegiate life. New Haven ain't bad. Easy access to NYC if that's your thing.
But it's a very expensive price tag. If you are the type who can get a full ride at Vandy, then you will probably do extremely well wherever you go to college, and more importantly, graduate school and in your professional life.
If money is going to be anything of an issue to you and your parents, go to Vanderbilt. Don't make your folks mortgage the house or cut into their retirement savings. Don't go into debt. $140K is not worth spending on Yale if Vandy or UMich is free for you. Let me emphasize this to you: you do not want to be 22 years old with massive loans to pay off.
If your parents have lots of money, then go to Yale.

If the kid has a full ride he shouldn't pass it up because Yale is one of his options.
Who the fuck are you to say shit like that, anyways? Get in your Yaris and drive back to Skidmore.

is this full ride a financial aid full ride or a merit scholarship? yale/dartmouth will most likely match if financial.
and actually, they may even match merit. i had a full ride from Brandeis and like $6000/yr in loans from D. i ended up with avg of $30,000/yr in grants from Dartmouth.
but of course, unless you had applied for financial aid to begin with, you would not have this option.
in any case, again, if you did not apply for financial aid, that means your parents can pretty much afford it. go, dude. yale or dartmouth, either is fine.
money, you can always make. but college is a one time deal.

Thanks to all who responded.
It's merit money from Vandy, so no chance of Y or D matching. I'm still undecided between Vandy and Yale.

you did not even apply for financial aid from D or Y?
when I told D of my merit aid from a school much lower than V, my aid package went from minimal to full tuition.
