Without that, I wouldn't have been able to bring it back (basically if you delete a thread, the thread_id gets deleted but not the message_ids, so if you reinsert the thread_id into the database the thread will recreate itself).
With the new tools, 1) the thread_id is never deleted from the db, just moved to a hidden board] 2) individual posts cannot be edited by mods, but can only be hidden like the threads (so they can be restored if they were wrongfully removed) 3) I can keep track of who made what changes when, so there'll be no confusion as to who deleted what thread, etc. |
