Date: May 8th, 2008 8:37 PM Author: High-end electric furnace Subject: Should I transfer? I applied to Haas as a berkeley student but did not get in. I have a 3.8 GPA and ok EC/work experience. My question is - Should I stay as a economics major (my backup) or transfer to a school with a good business program that would take me? The problem with transfering is that I will be a junior when the next application cycle comes around. I don't mind staying an extra year, but I don't know how many schools actually accept seniors transfers. It seems silly to tranfer so late, but I'm not all that interested in economics either. I'm not sure what's the best thing to do. A friend suggests that I apply to a few schools and see if I get in and another says I should suck it up, graduate early, and go for an MBA later. By now, you're pretty much settled in, have friends, and comfortable. Why upend that and go to some other school for undergrad business?
You can always go for an MBA once you graduate.
