become proficient in niche programming language cr?

Tempted to do this with Julia or something but the effort is probably better used getting better at R or python |

In OOP it is just a matter of syntax, and with procedural langs and other odd ducks you just fill in the gaps when you can. people who are highly proficient in niche areas are generally the cs ubermenschen to begin with. when a company is looking for an erlang developer or whatever it comes with the implicit assumption that they are pretty experienced in general with development as they will need fairly deep technical knowledge |
