But by the time they’re in high school many/most ADHD learn to zone out while you talk and then change the subject to something they find interesting. Depressed people who can’t mask are awful to be around, and for most of my life society has maintained a steady trend of making more and more excuses for these self-obsessed Debbie Downers when they suck the life out of every room they’re in. But at work if you say you’re depressed you can get paid leave and shit, but if you say you have ADHD they tell you to get some adderall and stop being a faggot and then they look for excuses to fire you.
