They have been det since the Pascal architecture unless you were trying to max out crypto earnings. Turing was gay for most other applications, and most of the 3xxx series that cost a fortune underperformed the 1080ti at actual gaming. Ray tracing also sucks the way it's implemented. Every demo I've seen looks worse with it turned on. If you don't game the 1660 is the best value card they've made in 5+ years and costs like $140 new. AMD kills them too if you have more than 2 monitors. Coverage of AMD cards is spiked with disinfo about "bad drivers," as if this company just perpetually hires the shittiest programmers to write drivers. In reality their drivers work as good as nvidias, even on Linux where every FAG claims you need nvidia.

They are absurdly huge. You have to build everything else around them because they take up so much space now. The ATX 3.0 main selling point is that it helps you better cope with the power draw from the GPU.

Lol say what you will about their pricing but the results are staggering. The 4090 is producing frame rates like 2-3x the 3090ti. Even before the ray tracing dlss advantage.

(Guy arguing that the graphics in 1999 are lifelike and that any updates will be incremental).

Play any game from like even 2014 and the differences are stark. The Witcher 3 which looked incredible then looks like horseshit now.

We also have so far to go in order to push VR at acceptable frame rates and pixel density. There’s a whole frontier left and you are being a contrarian dork. Nobody is coming close to Nvidia rn on this stuff.

To be fair,

IMPORTANT REMINDER: You're talking to a guy who has been a vehement nocoiner mocker "gullible cryptotards" for years...

...until he revealed, suddenly and with absolutely no proof and 100% "after the fact," very conveniently right at the height of the last crypto boom when all of the "gullible cryptotards" were crowing about how much money they had made...

...that SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS, he actually made a SHIT LOAD of money playing the crypto markets, after all! (Even though for years before that he had previously maintained that he would never touch that shit with a ten foot pole because it's strictly for idiots.) But to be clear, he's, like, infinitely x1000 million billion % smarter than anyone else involved in crypto, so of course he just casually dipped his toe in on a whim and made hundreds of thousands of dollars!

On a totally unrelated note, he's also a complete and utter faggot in political threads who is widely hated on XO. Odd case haha.

AMD chips with integrated graphics look liek the future for people who actually want to play games on a PC. They can compete with playstation and whatever. Steamdeck runs on one, and I'm guessing it beats anything running ARM like the Switch.

They are getting shit on by Intel in the desktop area all of a sudden, and it's not just on the CPUs but the whole architecture. AMD can't get on dat PCI 5.0 tip fast enough. They also need a new hole to fit their chips into, and their existing chips won't run in whatever they put out that claims to compete with Intel. You can either spend $1500 on Intel + Nvidia (or maybe even an AMD GPU since they're not bad), or you can buy a $500 AMD chip that plays games the same or better.

They make better CPUs at the moment. They shook off the "Core" legacy and moved on to a new architecture that pwns. There's no way to build an AMD rig that's faster than Intel in any meaningful way.
