How's the market?" I said "I know, pretty crazy right. Markets are still pretty ok, you know. What do you think, wonder what happens next." Then he launched into a monologue about the global tax implications for money that has been collected and will now likely be returned and the cross-border contract negotiations that will be upended and the outs that some firms will try to exercise. I was like "wow crazy ok have a good weekend" and then by the time I get back to my computer, I have an email from his firm with a bill for $240 for 6 minutes of strategic analysis. I texted him like "wtf is this" and he said "????? You engaged my time and expertise on an extremely complex issue ... if I were a plumber and you waved me over and said 'hey unclog my shitter real quick,' would you expect me to do it for free?"
