I have 150K in debt, and will be starting biglaw in the fall as a second year in primary market (Expensive as fuck).

Should I aggressively pay down loans, or just PAYE that shit and build my savings so I can buy a house in the next five years?

You can probably run a formula on this to determine what is better

My guess: pay it down; 150K is doable in just a few years, then you don't have that debt hanging over you which wil screw credit score, and probably the payments in PAYE will ultimately be the same, just spread out

Nobody has a crystal ball to tell you what you will be earning over a 20 year period. In my opinion, there should be more to this decision than just dollars and cents.

PAYE that shit for a year and max your savings in case you're layoff-pwned.

TITCR, for most people, your first financial priority should be to accumulate a six month emergency fund.
