Think like a low CoL town, maybe a smaller but competitive liberal arts school think Wofford/Elon/Furman/Davidson. How credited would it be to teach Poli Sci or history at one of these? Summers off, can lecture about whatever you want basically. Intellectually curious students, etc.

Just do business PhD, bro

That said, if it's not a tenure track position, it's pretty TTT (both in $$ and job security) unless you do it part-time.

Business Ph.D > academia sounds credited as FAWK brother. Especially if its a TTT class like 'strategic management' or 'business strategy'

I took an undergrad course where my prof was a law school professor. But he was still teaching law school courses.

What is the end point here?

We had a coupla non-T14 JDs teaching poli sci (intro-level law classes) and I just wondered how one goes about teaching law but not a law school? I would think top grades at a T1 would obviously still be required but what else?

What you describe is ideal for many many college professors. Many people desire what you describe. Is this a brunch? A drink? A dinner offer?

Where isthis going?

wtf are you talking about a dinner offer brother? I am just asking how this happens and if anyone here has any experience with this. Seems like a cushy as fuck job and naturally I'm interested. For the fucking record i am not interested in drinks or dinner with you or anyone else here.

Imagine teaching 'Philosophy and Law' at Univ. of Phoenix Detroit campus.

Ideally, You would want a credited faculty, nice campus, and students who care.

yeah, does not have to be a non-TT/elite by xo standard

even a tier-2, e.g. university of maryland would be very credited.

or some mid-tier national liberal arts colleges
