Also note that its a myth that the devastation in home prices was country-wide. While most markets took some sort of a hit, a bulk of the price drops were in just a few locations. |

There might also be social factors at play. The city lost population between 1950 and 2000. It was a total shit hole. My parents friends bought beautiful houses by the parks for a song. Now DC is a place where people actually want to live and the DC real estate market is still adjusting. |
