If you ask me, it just seems as though LSD is the kid who did extra credit science projects to get the 104 instead of the 100 even though both grades would reflect the same on his GPA, while xoxo was the kid that spent most of science class trying to angle his view so he could see the edge of the student teacher's boobs through the loose spot in between buttons on her blouse but got the same GPA grade - though it was a 98 and not 104. LSD is the college kid who had the color-coded highlighters - blue for possible test material, yellow for what i want to include in my final paper, green for thing that tangentially relate to other courses - while xoxo got high, got hammered but still came out okay in the end.
I'm sure they have some great people and we have ours while each has some dicks, but in the end, it's always struck me that, while both boards have no shortage of 3.9/174 students, it's the xoxo'ers that realize that, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't make you all that smart in the least...that's what permits this board to discuss with equal zeal and intelligence the 'will i get into yale' threads and the 'when is a dick too big' threads....god bless this board for that. |

which is to say, while this board once in a while has 'more entertaining' threads, that one usually has more thorough information that is more correct as to particulars. and since it's actively moderated, the asinine recurring threads aren't of the "minorities of sub-normal intelligence are stopping me from dreaming about my best-friend going to my dream school" variety, but rather threads where we can note how we all squeeze our legs together in fervid hope that we can join Sasquatch and Teddybearcrotch5563 at Stanford next fall. Yay! |

I mostly read this board for fun. While some of the posts are egregiously pitiful, many others make me laugh. I also appreciate the personalities of some of the regular posters.
The "other" board, however, is altogether uninteresting and uninviting.

But the biggest problem is when you see chances threads where people with a 153 LSAT and 3.2 in American studies from a state TTT ask if they can get into a T14. There's no chance in hell your going to get into a T14 but they post and give encouragement like if you have a great PS you have a shot. It gives people looking for good information terrible info because people don't want to come out and give them the truth.

I am not saying someone should not apply but LSD tends to be all warm and fuzzy about admissions where the truth is for 99% of people it is all about the numbers. For something as important as law school honesty should be the best policy.
I also have posted a little on LSD and it does provide a good deal amount of information especially concerning the LSAT and some people do give good admissions advice. But overall it tends to mislead people with scores who really don't have a shot at getting in. |

I used her as an example because if you read the board she will use her story as example of someone getting into a top school with a LSAT that is well below the school's average. The only thing is is that she forgets to mention she is a Russian immigrant. I have nothing against this woman (all the more power to her to getting into a great school) but when she doles out advice she should mention her unique circumstances compared to someone from the burbs.
