I don't know where these buttfuck agencies are sloppy, but I can tell they are sloppy by the internal correspondence they put out.
For example, right now the USDA is trying to relocate/shrink this laboratory in Beltsville, and one of their biologists keeps sending me their RIF notices and shit. Their correspondence is total ass and will get the USDA raped in court if they move out on the plan.
USDA wouldn't know that though, because no one there has ever done a RIF. DOD does RIFs all the time and it went through 50 levels of hell with the BRAC program under Bush/Obama, so their RIF notices are tight and conform to the lawl. |

Most private attorneys procrastinate, file shit at the last minute, hide the ball etc, but if you front-load your complaints with evidence and serve discovery early, the administrative record you take to court is six feet tall, and the govt will settle to avoid having its personnel named in court records unless it's someone they already fired. Protip: complain about someone Trump already "fired" and see if anyone at that agency will (or can) defend claims brought against them. What if you name a black female who got promoted under Biden?
I only know one lawyer who does this rn, the others all procrastinate or act like they're in court. |

A lot of firms do that. The problem is once you go to court you're litigating against DOJ, and you don't get to take clean shots at the agency lawyers in discovery. You're not hitting them when they're weak and forcing them to hit tight deadlines. You're not gathering evidence of spoilation. Everything takes 18x longer to get done too, and you can't do it remotely. You can still bill at the same rate while only ever doing administrative law.
