I've been on the wait list since May of 2012, I know that a lot of people have been hired off of it in the last 6 months. The letter that the office sent me said that I'm on it until November 2013. All it took to get the internship was a few phone calls. I 2nd chaired a murder and had a great summer. Only reason I didnt apply to CCPD after graduation was that they required a bar card before application and I wasnt going to take the IL bar just for that.
I got the sense, though, that it wouldnt be that hard to get a PD job there. My supervisors were telling me, "Cant wait to see you," etc.
