I'm trying to find a couple of mergers of interest to analyze. do you know if teh FTC keeps a centralized list of what they're looking at?

I'm writing it for a seminar.

hmm...i'm sure somewhere they do, whether or not it's available to the public is another question. sorry. i highly doubt, though, that they would let the public in on everything they're "looking at."

good luck with this. should be an interesting topic but also quite the challenge.

you get a lot of the same stuff in papers that merge game theory with actual political events. selective parameterization is a big problem with those things.

121, how much background do you have in econ? I'm really interested in antitrust (haven't taken class yet) but wonder how far I can ever get in it without higher-level econ. and no calculus.

I have three courses in econ under my belt if you include econometrics which I'm taking right now. I think if you've had intro microecon you'll do great in an antitrust course but it's not really required since they'll give an overview in the beginning of the semester.
