Haven't started studying for bar yet; how fucked?

Date: June 13th, 2012 5:59 PM Author: burgundy principal's office crotch I was convinced I was going to fail and was ashamed of my laziness at not taking it seriously. It made me literally sick a couple times per day. A few days b4 the exam I started dominating all the practice questions without referring to notes or anything and started to get confident.
The final 3 weeks I just focused on the most common subjects in my state, taking practice Qs/essays and memorizing bite sized barbri law statements. I spent more time each day as the pressure mounted. Eventually I covered everything, with much more time emphasis on the commonly tested material.
I don't think you would have to be moronic to fail. I think it would be easy for a smart to fail if you don't put in at least 100 hours that last month or you can't focus on test day. |

also, do you recommended doing essays and shit at first WITH notes? then transitioning out of notes?

I'd try to do an essay and only write down a few rules. Then I'd check all the issues and rules I missed and feel stupid. You have to keep doing it until you start feeling like you can fill the page just by recognizing the topic of the essay. E.G. you see it's about business associations and that triggers some basic rules which trigger more rules. That's how my brain worked.
By the time I took the test I could visualize a fairly complete outline of bar law for each topic and write it down without referring to anything. All I did was do as many questions as I could, referring to the outlines when I recognized gaps in my knowledge. |

AND I'm lazy and my studying is inefficient and fucked. fuck this shit brothers I dont want to fail. |

also, property has been tested several times in a row now, i think 3 times, so it's less likely to be an essay but you never know with these clowns |

i was very freaked out and thought it would be worth it to give up a summer and do nothing but study if it meant only having to do it once and being done with it forever. when all said is done, it was worth it (even though i was convinced i had failed until results came out so even all that studying didn't give me much comfort)
