Typically, I would enjoy watching you entitled fags worry about failing in life. But, my bar experience was made better by this site so I thought I would give back. Two days before the bar I was eating dinner. Five minutes later I was puking everywhere and sweating profusely. I had not yet begun studying for a section that was guaranteed 10% of the entire bar. Additionally, I was barely hanging on in the other portions. I went into freak out mode. Sough prescription drugs from a friend to calm me down. Went to my GFs and was pretty much paralyzed by fear. I was able to sleep, but barely. I decided not to take the bar because I knew I was waaaay underprepared. I came on here and everyone said just take it, I still have a slim chance of passing. I told myself that my entire goal was to make it through the first day and would just no show for the rest. At least I would get over the fear of the first day.
On the first day, I hadn't eaten for 48 hours and couldn't feel my legs walking in. When I opened the packet, I just BSed the entire thing. I showed up for the second day; still hadn't eaten anything. Got through the MBE. That night, I reviewed for the essays and took a sleeping pill. I went to the third day, still malnourished. Somehow, I made it through. Fast forward a few months and results. I passed! By a lot! And only because I decided not to be a pussy and just show up.
The entire point of this is to say, you will fucking pass if you have studied anything at all. By a wide margin. Stop freaking out. It’s not that big of a deal.

Greetings,
lol wtf texas is known as a hard state to pass
california only has such a high fail rate because you let retards take it
just look at the MBE statistics by state, california and new york have some of the lowest average MBE scores every year

Can't agree with OP more. IF YOU ARE SMART ENOUGH TO WRITE IN ENGLISH AND FOUND THIS BOARD, YOU WILL LIKELY PASS.
-- The bar is a test of MINIMUM qualifications.
-- The bar awards points for good writing that is legally incorrect
-- Most MBE questions are easy and you don't really need to get any of the hard ones correct
-- You are testing with non-native English speakers, people who barely passed through a fourth tier law school, hard drug users, among others.
-- You will pass.

dood, those scores are available because the people that wrote those essays failed. Otherwise there'd be no way of knowing that those essays were a 60. They're probably not nearly as good as you think.
The CA written portion tests one thing and one thing only: how good you are at headings.

true. but when comparing the essays that get 55 to 65 or 70, there is little difference.
brother, if you can, elaborate on headings. do it or every issue/sub-issue?
E.g., for a contract, should i divide it out with offer, acceptance, consideration? Or can I just have one header for "The Contract was Valid" and discuss all 3?

CR
you should look at your finished essay and think to yourself, "yo dawg we herd you like headings"

Before posting stuff like this, you guys should mention what state you're taking.
Because yeah, if all you have to know is 6 1L subjects, then you can study enough in two weeks to pass.
On the other hand if you have to study three times as many subjects, if not more, then NO IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PASS IN TWO WEEKS.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm just terrible at writing this stuff. Thing is, on the family law question, I knew the rules. I just need to practice spouting tons of seemingly irrelevant information. E.g. question asks for whether Aunt and Uncle can bring an action, and they want you to talk about how grandparents can bring an action. Who cares, I know Aunt and Uncle can't in Texas.
Since everything I wrote was correct, I figured I'd at least get 10.
As for oil and gas, I just didn't know the rules. Just screwed.

AGREED.
went to a TTTT law school, did not study until 3 days before the exam, horrified at myself, bought an outline from online, BSed my way through the exam, unsure about like 75-80% of my answers (and that's being lenient), felt for sure i was going to fail. went back to the office i worked for, told everyone that I probably failed.
passed (NY).

THE OP IS COMPLETELY RIGHT. CALM THE FUCK DOWN!
Just for an example, I got a clerkship that started four days after graduation. The Judge was all "Look I dont give time off for the bar except for two weeks before it, because (1) my clerks always pass it, and (2) you can take it again in February if you do." I was like "Oh shit." No bar bri, no kaplan, no whatever that other thing is. Bought Micromash and used it for two weeks, passed by a huge margin.
NOT THAT BIG A DEAL

terrible advice. Everyone taking a hard bar like NY or CA should be worried. I knew a dood on Law Review that failed (in NY). Most of you will be fine. But a few of you will not. Every year a handful of people fail. Most are non-native speakers or people who did not study at all, but some are normal students (like you) that just had a bad day. You do NOT want to be one of the ones that fail ITE.
This advice does not pertain to people taking useless bars (i.e., any bar that isn't NY or CA).
