He deserves credit for this:
"The critics of legal education are right," Dean Frank Wu said in a telephone interview on April 30. "There are too many law schools and too many law students, and we're going to fix that. We would easily be able to fill 425 seats [the size of the this year's incoming class], but to do so would be irresponsible."
Anyone who agrees to $52k and is coming from another state to go to school in California deserves it. That option should be reserved for rich kids whose parents pay cash for their slutty brat to play out her Legally Blonde fantasy in SF.

Again, ITE, the full reality of the perils of law school, legal employment, student debt, etc are out there in mainstream media. Anyone going to law school now should be aware of that, if they aren't, they're too dumb to be lawyers. If it's being raised on current students who will still be there next year, that sucks and is anger worthy, though.
I have no sympathy for anyone who volunteers to pay that much to go to HasTTTings. They should find cheaper schools to attend or not do law. There's no demand for Hastings graduates.
