It's not like most biglaw lawyers have an unlimited shelf-life anyway - meaning you're probably not going to last more than 5-7 years no matter when you start.
Why not live more comfortably by not having to pay 12k/year in debt? That's 12k/year that you can put towards the down payment of a nice house.

And the suggestion above that you could do 1L somewhere else and then take the money won't work . . . they're asking people to defer matriculation entirely. To do what the poster above suggested, they'd have to withdraw and reapply to transfer. And given the size of the class they accidentally admitted, I wager they won't be taking transfers next fall. |

The story is they're overenrolled, like they've done on occasion before. Rumors are it's skewed male, it's 100+ over, and they're offering money to people willing to defer. I know a handful of men who've deferred because of money, and one woman who deferred because of suggestion admissions pressure but without financial incentive. futureclerk has someone inside ND and like to bash ND, so he's the source of this info right now. |
