Is now a good time to go to a T6 LS? (Srs)

No real other options outside of law (history ugrad)?. 75k at NU. 30k at Penn. 30k at NYU. Leaning toward NYU but I haven't seen how they did at OCI.ike the vibe of Grenwhich Village more plus 30k less loans accruing at 8% is really like 35-40k discount. What to do? You'll probably get big law, the ones striking out are mostly people who have zero self preservation impulses. They bid stupid, don't hustle, etc etc.
The problem is compensation. Associates make less than they did in 2007 by a lot. That's not even factoring in inflation. AND cost of schooling is growing still.
At CLS you will have well over 250K in debt by the time you graduate. If you pay that shit off over 10 years, you are talking like 36K per year in loan payments. That's after tax money. You won't have a positive net worth for 5-10 years. That sucks bro.
Take NW if you want to do it. You have virtually the same chances of getting big law (but a lot less chances at elite firms). |
