2012 honda accord SE (leather, alloy - no bluetooth no navi)

36 months

12k per year

$2,750 out of pocket (acquisition fee, doc fee, tax title license, downpayment)

$99/mo (before tax - with tax, somewhere around 115$/mo)

pls rate for me

fyi, make 100k, but 160k debt and shittty car that stalls all the time, so i need a cheap upgrade. this seems like a good deal b/c should i get fired/laid off from firm, then at least i can get rid of the car in <36mo.

Hmmm... you seem to be the last person who should lease, IMO.

You should buy a new car and get through the next 10 years or so while you get your career straightened out.

What will you be left with if you get laid off? Nothing.

You're making decent money now so just buy new and promise yourself you'll drive it until you get a nice fat in-house position (or whatever your looking for).

An Accord will buy a lot of time.

well wife has a car. if i get laid off, then ill just use hers. i figured in 3 yrs, ill have all my debt paid off and i can then get something decent.

im not sure if im ready to invest the 15-25k for a decent car. and since i dont want to pay in cash, ill be financing...albeit at 0.9 or 1.9%

ugggghh

Does your wife not work?

I dunno. I think you just need to accept that you're in a high debt period of your life.

Those are great financing terms. Plus, in three years won't you be thinking about a mortgage and kids?

May as well just get the car thing out of the way while you know you have a few more years of good income. Pay student loans back early, sure, but make them secondary since they are most flexible.

I dunno, man. Leasing kind of sucks. A better financial decision would be to purchase a car you can drive for 10 years, but it sounds like that might crimp your spending.

Those terms sound great, but you should get the bluetooth.

if the op doesn't drive much then why buy. financing it and paying $400 for a car is crazy. save the 300 and pay down your debt. its not worth the extra $10k

what the FARK, brahs. i did not know leasing a new car could be so cheap. i have strongly ingrained in my head that leasing and buying new are both very spendy options.
