How does it feel to work like a dog, constantly worrying about ITE pwnage?
I, on the other hand, have a totally different life. I work 35 hours a week and make 250K/year as a general dentist (the numbers for hours/income are just average for a general dentist. Specialists earn more working the same hours).
Being the dentist is a slick job. At times it can be stressful, but mostly dentistry is a lot of fun, a little grief, and an overall great way to work. Unless you're a major loser with a rotten/nonexistent personality (like most of my classmates in dental school), your hygiene department will make you so much money your bigtime physician friends won't believe it.
It's pretty easy stuff. I tell people what they need and give them what they want. No hard sell here. Why would I? My life is already so sweet I don't need to sell. I joke around with patients, play video games in my office, drink coffee, flirt with the hygienists, etc. And they call this working.

it's all about doing what interests you. i never even considered being a doctor because the subject never interested me. some would never consider law because they find it boring. |
