What are your monthly hours?
You don't want more than one big matter.

If you count inactive but unresolved cases, I'm probably on like 15. But I'm only on one active large case and one active semi-large case ATM. I have two inactive large cases, a few moderately active small cases and god knows how many inactive smaller cases. Midlaw.
Sounds like you might want to speak to the assigning partner and let him know your workload. While it's hard to turn down work, it's better for the partner to know if you might not be available when needed.

BWAHAHAHAHAAHAH!
You obviously have never practiced criminal law if you think that is a lot of cases.
I've already handled 350 cases so far this year. As a whole my office does over 20,000 cases a year.
Go back to watching your "Raising the Bar" marathon on netflix.
