Serious question: How do they treat their financial support staff? (I know, I know: Who cares about support staff)

McDermott has a reputation for being cheap and during the recession eliminated perks like free coffee (there's an article about it in the tribune).
they used to have a reputation for being a lifestyle firm but i have heard from friends who are still there that moral is really low b/c of the layoffs/firings and people are being worked really hard. |

OK place to work, with decent ppl
not fratty
not prestigious
solidly mid-tier firm
they were vicious during the recession/ITE, cutting well over 20% of their attorneys and wiping out much of corporate; with all that cutting and now things recovering, they're probably holding steady now
billables are in the even 2000 range |
