I've never understood why people equate "slut" with being well traveled. Other than the whole meme about American girls hooking up with foreigners while abroad, but that's more due to college making people sluts, not travel.

I see this a lot with people (not just girls) who grew up at least middle class and have 4 year degrees.

Some of these people legitimately have done a lot of traveling abroad, whether it be because they have family in more than one country, grew up overseas, or spent some time overseas on account of their job.

Some of these people are the ones who have only been overseas when someone else (likely parents) has been footing the bill.

I think liking overseas travel is more normal than disliking it, although I recognize that liking "world travel" is as cliche as saying you "work hard and play hard" and like a "night in your sweat pants as much as a night at the clubs".

This. Liking to travel is just like saying that you like to read. Very few people will admit that they don't really like to do either, although I've met very, very few people who love to do either as much as they like talking about how much they love to do either.

"Liking" to travel is completely normal, but she had actually traveled. Nowhere impressive, but still.

Normally, I like it when a girl and I share common interests/experiences, but not this one.

So who is worse in your opinion, the girl who says she likes to travel but has only been on vacations to Europe and the Caribbean with her parents, or the girl who says she likes to travel and has lived abroad for several years and has visited a shit ton of countries?

I like to travel so it would be occasionally inconvenient if I married a girl who didn't like to travel, or didn't like to do the same kind of traveling that I like to do.
