Mycroft John and Sherlock make mention of these high-placed nefarious actors but there's never a discussion to take on this wholly destructive 5th column as if it's impolite to entertain it (only the "uncivilized" Irish engage in that kind of behavior) they'd rather DEDUCE crackhead cases and cigar ashes while their empire crumbles.

Sherlock Holmes was a failure dressed as a prodigy. He didn't stop crime -- he autopsied it for applause. His "deductions" were smug conjecture reverse-engineered into brilliance, always too late to matter. He let suffering unfold so he could arrive fashionably incisive. Holmes wasn't a hero. He was crime's performative voyeur.

Crime-solving was an intellectual exercise and indulgence for him, not a crusade for “justice”.
