I currently work in Microfinance and am looking to get an MPA but am concerned that some of the MPA programs are too American Government-centered (WWS?). I am an international student and hope to work in another country post-grad. Which are the better schools in terms of curriculum and job opportunities? Also, does anyone know of a program that allows a microfinance focus or allows students to take courses in Microfinance?

Also, my boyfriend and I are looking at applying to schools together, and he wants to study environmental management/sciences and we're trying to find schools that are the best for both our fields. Suggestions? Duke is really good for him, but most people seem to think the Duke International Development Program is not that good. Thoughts?
