Date: March 1st, 2010 5:24 PM Author: white parlor I've recently begun a facebook group called "RPCV's on the Street" with the goal of connecting Peace Corps volunteers who currently work or are interested in transitioning into private sector finance, either as a long-term career goal or as a stepping stone into other fields (as is the case for many with a development ...background). Understanding that both the recruiting process and day-to-day lifestyle in the corporate world may be very different from previous work-related experiences (and certainly for the Peace Corps), I am hoping that the group can serve as a networking tool and resource for those who plan a major career change.
About me: I am a second year MBA and an RPCV (Paraguay '04-'06). I will be working for an investment bank in NY starting this summer. |
