Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you know anything about this program.

I attended NYU for undergrad and majored in Economics. Now, I’m working for the US Federal Government in IT security. I also manage and own a semi-popular website, which some of you may know and which generates revenue via advertising.

Well, the fed has offered to pay my way through a grad program in my field, as long as I continue to work full time, so I’m looking into MS programs in Info Systems, IT, Info Systems Management, etc.

I plan to stay in the IT / web field and may go for an eMBA in five years or so, but that is still up in the air.

Anyone been through this program or know much about it? It seems like it would be a good match for my skills and future goals. And they give several years to complete the program so I can keep my job while taking a class or two a semester.

Is it worth my time?

Also, any other programs I should look into? Preferably in the NYC area, as that is where I work and live.

Thanks.

Haven't been through the program but from secondhand knowledge (consulting firms) you upgrade you employability a lot with it.

Yea, I'd think it would be a good way to move into a supervisory Information Systems spot. Eventually that is the way I'd like to go.

Which kind of firms have you heard about the program through?

Ahh, I see.

I think I'll apply and see how things go. I won't be paying a dime, so may as well. Seems like a decent program. Let me know if you think of anything else I should know.

Thanks.
