Outstanding, especially if you can get a government job. The jobs can't be outsourced, the population is aging, the economy is spawning more and more societal dysfunction, jobs, whether non-profit or government are quite plentiful. The down side is the low pay, but many of the jobs are benefitted, with health care, vacation and sick leave, holidays, and 403(B), 457, or 401(K) retirement plans. If state or city government, the retirement plan is likely to be defined-benefit rather than defined-contribution(401(K). Go for it.
