Okay, so I am applying to schools this month and I have a GRE score of 660 Verbal/800 Math/6 Writing. My Undergrad GPA (overall) comes out to a 2.8 though, with a 3.38 in community college and a 2.4 after transferring to the University of Washington. (I was really ill and missed/failed nearly all of my classes for 2 terms in a row.) I've put in some paperwork to have my illness-related classes dropped from my transcript, which would put me up to a 3.07 undergraduate GPA, but assuming it's still a 2.8 undergrad with the GRE scores listed, do I have a chance at Fletcher, NYU, Columbia, or the New School? (Additional info: LORs will be good but nothing too special, and I do write a great personal statement.)

Was your UG major in a related feild? Any significant work experiences? Your GRE score is strong, but if you're coming in straight from UG without internships/study abroad/work experience, it will be a tough sell.

Also, are you sure you calculated your new projected GPA correctly? It doesn't seem to be too much of a change enough after dropping those classes. 3.07 isn't very competitive for the schools you're interested in. But again, it'll come down to those other components of your application.
