Subject: Getting into a good Policy MA program
Hey guys, hows it going? I'm looking to applying to a few grad schools this fall in IR, specifically: SAIS, SIPA, KSG, MIT, GT, Tufts, MIIS. I'm looking into a practical MA program in international/national security. Here's a little about myself:
-Currently teaching English full-time in the Middle East (one yr. contract), where I am also taking advanced Arabic courses at the University of Jordan, interning, and volunteering.
-Fluent in Spanish and conversational in Arabic
-BA from UCLA in IR and Arabic (CUM GPA 3.7)
-4 security related internships
-GRE: 600Q/740V
-Published in the UCLA Undergrad. research journal (the paper was on the effects of intelligence on policy)
Anyway, considering what I've listed, am I a competitive candidate for the programs I listed (my first choice is MIT, as it's condensed), or should I look somewhere else? Also, what does anyone know about the King's College in London War Studies program?
Thanks so much!
