I work in Ed.
Unless you already work for a nonprofit/NGO in this field and this will advance you in your current organization (which is the credited reason to get one), you're out of your fucking mind. It's never funded, I can't think of any place public to get one, and there are no jobs.
It doesn't prepare you to be a credentialed teacher, or an administrator, and even if it did (which it doesn't in any program I can think of), thanks to budget cuts, education employment (along with everything else ITE) is in the sewer. Basically, in any programs I'm familiar with, it's like getting a Master's in Liberal Arts. It's not really a professional degree like most other M.Ed degrees nor does it lead to a license of some sort (e.g. school psychology, teacher certification track, building administrator). That drastically limits its worth.
Have you considered MPA and (terminal Master's) IR programs? That's a better credential with similar NPO/NGO int'l applications, more prestige and a broader range of potential employers.
If you're seriously interested in Int'l Ed, it's pointless to get a degree below the doctoral level (they just don't lead to jobs in anything), unless like I said, you already work in an NGO/NPO in this area.
