Subject: Observe a Lecture

Hi, this is a naive question but I was wondering if you would be kind enough to be honest and polite with your response.

How important is it to observe a lecture at a school that you may be interested in attending?

Thanks!!

Hello. This is a very important question to ask. Of course, you should never enroll at a school where you've never attended a class. There are so many different ways colleges teach Chemistry and English Literature that you might get stuck in the wrong program if you don't do your homework! Ha ha, get it?

what kind of program? I'd say generally it doesn't matter at all, but if you're really on the fence, and the schools are equal in quality and location and everything else you might care about, it might be nice to go to a seminar and see what the atmosphere is like, if people are engaged and giving constructive advice, or if people are just bored or adversarial or what.
