though I sound unserious, I'm being truthful:

-Graduated from Cornell in 3.5 years (Jan 2008)

-Published a paper while there

-Afterward started a business and have now made over a million dollars in under a year.

I'm bored, my business is essentially running on auto-pilot making me $70k/month or so in profits, so I want to do something with my time. I just moved to NYC so am only looking at schools in/around this area.

I have very broad interests, but some topics I really enjoy are religion, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Mainly what I want in a school is 1) access to smart students and professors, 2) a prestigious name on my degree.

The reason I want #1 is that I can't stand to be around idiots. The reason I want #2 is I'm an admitted prestige-whore and like to flaunt that I have gone to good schools, even if the programs I studied weren't difficult.

My undergrad gpa was about a 3, so I don't have much of a leg to stand on. I'm not stupid, but I was in the wrong major and had other priorities, like building my businesses, so my academics suffered.

So, what masters programs should I look into that are at prestigious schools but aren't very difficult to get into? I've looked into NYU's Gallatin school so far to give you an idea of what I mean (30% acceptance rate vs NYU's other Masters with a <20% acceptance rate).

TIA

Check out Columbia's MLA. Admits over 60%. In fact, Columbia has a boat load of MAs that admit over 40% and a few over 80%. Pretty much all cash cows though and not sure how much of #1 you'll get from such programs.

Lots of fellow prestige whores, though.

Columbia's School of International & Public Affairs only requires a pulse for admission (70% accept rate?).

that 70+% is for the executive programs and, i think, one of the econ specialty programs. the rest are around 40%. still high.

Correct. $1mn a year is nothing to some people in good MBA programs. Meet people who will be something later in life rather than PhD students at TTTs until they are 35. MBA makes the most sense.

Hello me.

I also graduated from Cornell in 3.5 years and started a business. I also had a light 3.0 (2.95+) GPA mostly due to lack of interest in my parent chosen major and the demands of running the business. Was independantly wealthly by 27.

I ended up at a top 15ish MBA program on a full ride. Just got funding for a second business where both the idea and funding were sourced through the school. As an entrepreneur I would recommend you do something similar. With a track record of start-up success, and the connections a decent MBA can provide to the local VC community, business #2 can be bigger and better then #1.

Check out Columbia and NYU. If your willing to leave NYC also throw in MIT or go back to Cornell. HBS probably isn't happening unless you rock a 760+ GMAT. NYU and Cornell are very likely with a 700+ if the 7 figure EBIDTA isn't flame.
