Academic References from two different schools- ok for LSE?

I transferred schools and can get a really good academic reference from a prof from the school I transferred from.
Should I go against what they advise so that I'll give two stellar references, or go by the rules and give them one that is from a prof who probably doesn't remember me? |

If so, it's probably okay. But best to clear in advance that you may interpret "most recent school" as "most recent degree."
