I'm just wondering if anyone could give me some hints on where to apply based on my stats...I'm looking for a school with a good MPA program. It doesn't necessarily have to be a big-name school, but I'd like to be on the East coast preferable NYC, DC, or Boston. I'm an undergraduate Sociology Major at Umass Amherst (I know, not a great school but it's decent and what I could afford). My GPA is 3.74, I've always held a job the whole year round, I do a lot of volunteer work (about 4-5 hrs every week), I'm in the honors college, I received an award from the german department, im currently studying abroad in germany (11 months in total here so my german language skills are pretty good, i take classes within the normal university with regular german students) and next year i was asked my a sociology professor of mine to do research with her in the fall and TA for her in the spring... i dont know if any of these things even matter in the application, but i love being involved in the campus/community...do i have a chance of being accepted anywhere? and where should i apply? any advice would be appreciated...
