seriously, and we KNOW how obsessive the koreans get about shit like starcraft
and they combine it with GAMBLING and INTERNATIONAL FINANCE FRAUD
if i'm a korean politician i'd just say ban it all
the fact that only 250k gooks signed the petition in korea to keep crypto (numbers probably inflated by foreigners) shows they know it's unhealthy

That is one of the dumbest “articles” I have ever seen. It’s two paragraphs of a narrative that is so fuckin played out at this point. Literally tho - this has been said 4 different ways by 4 different “news” organizations. The truth, which is rarely emphasized, yet alone even mentioned, is the s. Korean legislative and executive branches’ staunch support of crypto currency trading and legal, compliant exchanges that generate enormous tax revenue.
I can’t decide if it’s clickbait ratings material or if it’s a purely financial motif by the mass media conglomerates that run these stories to crash crypto so they can buy low.

This is old news.
It was reported days ago that SK is considering banning all exchanges. There is an internal rift within the government on whether this stuff should be banned or not. They explicitly said that they will conduct further talks and then decide.
So banning remains a possibility. There are some who claim fake news on the basis of twitter “insiders” talking out of their ass, but that’s just an example of wanting to cling to wishful thinking.
