Someone explain to me why past Tether fake money pumping the market to here

There is no means of valuation here except buy and sell orders. If someone bought at 10K with real money why would they want to bring it down to legitimate levels? Who or what institution is supposed to be the guardian that would do it for economic principles. Do they exist?
