A fun thing to do is be driven around by Uber when I'm out shopping, or with some dude I'm hooking up with, and read the signs on shops and restaurants that we pass by. |

I taught myself to transliterate arabic characters into western alphabet before I went to the Middle East for the first time. Even though I didn't know much Arabic vocab it was fun to to be to read the signs (and prices written in arabic numbers) and see which ones work well in Arabic script - Coca Cola is a good example. Date: October 12th, 2017 8:21 AM Author: Hot brunch pervert "Subway" in Arabic features the letter "y" which in terminal form looks a lot like S so it makes for interesting signage. We also have a supermarket chain called Lulu and that is very pretty in Arabic.
The initial/medial/terminal letter thing is tough at first too. |

Then there are the way they have special characters for common letter combinations, like "la".
