I took the WAIS-III and got the following index IQ scores:

VCI- 142 (99.7%)

POI- 101 (53%)

WMI- 124 (95%)

PSI- 99 (47%)

What's with the huge disparity between verbal and performance IQ? Do I have a learning disability? What kind of LSAT score can I expect with this profile?

tyft. but seriously i thought the concept of 'g' meant that scores should be relatively stable across different performance modalities.

Not true. Usually this is the case, but some people (like u, apparently) have learning disabilities. Tell me, were you terrible at geometry?

You may have non-verbal learning disability. I have a similar profile. Got a 175. Was shit in math in high school, but that may have been my laziness coupled with crappy public school setting.

thanks d00d. i also sucked at math once i hit geometry. im thinking it might be a visuo-spatial deficit. my lowest subscore was block design (got a 6).

yeah, you have terrible spatial skills, but that doesn't matter because you are not going to become an architect.

yeah that makes sense. the logic games on the lsat seem to test spatial organization to some degree so it looks like I need to work on them.

Just buy Powerscore's Logic Games bible. I went from getting up to -16 on LG to perfect on test day. Practice on the older exams first- they are the hardest.

Hear you with the spatial deficit. It makes driving hell.

Motor skills and social skills are also negatively affected by a non-verbal learning disorder. Did you have problems learning to ride a bike or tie your shoes?

These things can go undiagnosed for years because the kid can make good grades in the three R's in elementary school, so everyone thinks he's fine.

Law school is full of these types, though, so no worries.

Wow, you've got me pegged. I STILL can't ride a bike. I'm an OK driver though, probably because I'm ridiculously vigilant and careful to compensate for my deficits.

Nope, I don't even parallel park. I drive around until I find a space with at least one space empty on the side, and walk from there.
