160k loans, 80k salary - help me figure this shit out

Making 80k a year - take home is about $4,000/month.
Monthly loan payments are around $2,000. Yeah you read that right. Not eligible for IBR (right on the cusp), not doing govt work so no loan forgiveness. Rent/food/utils etc. about $1,000.

4000. take away 1k for rent, etc. 800 for misc. shit, eating out. that leaves 2200. put 1500 down on loans. save around 700. once you hit 6 months of savings, plow that 7 into loans.
totally doable. |

google "ibr" calculator. use one of the calculators, plug in your numbers and it'll tell you if you qualify

i used the calculator just now and it said i possibly qualify when I combined all my fed loans together - across 3 different lenders (1. staffords, 2. consolidated staffords, 3. perkins)
have you done this? how do you get the multiple lenders to work together? |
