Law schools raise tuition to pay for high prof salaries right? That's the justification we always hear - schools must stay competitive to attract top talent.
So why don't law schools/the ABA agree on a national law prof pay scale to stop this bidding war? Like cap max salaries at all schools to remove this incentive? Allow slight variation to account for cost of living taxes etc.
Would they just argue that profs would then go private sector? But all schools would be equally affected by that right so it doesn't actually hurt ability to compete with other schools. |

lets get rid of SS, medicare, vet benefits, the federal work force, highway subsidies, univ research subsidies, the IRS, the EPA, the dept of education, HHS, the dept of commerce, food stamps, did i miss anything else?

No, vets earned those by serving our country (unlike the TTTs on Section 8 etc) and vet care is really poor anyway.
