What is the general turn around time from application packet to swearing in? Month, two months?

I know people who passed July 2011 and haven't been admitted yet, including some who submitted right away. Shit takes forever.

lol a girl i work with just turned her app in last month, and her date is in fucking october. it's mad backed up. luckily it doesn't matter for biglaw

I don't think that's the ceremony date. Or is it? Isn't there an interview that she needs to go through first, or is that on the same day and is merely a formality?

Also, why would the ceremony date be so far off... 6 months from now?

so if there's no c&f issue they just give a date. what if they need to do a little digging? i.e. you have a misdemeanor

I am not certain if my interview date will be in June.

in their letter that they sent to all of us in the 3rd department, it says the interview date and admission date will be the same. The reviewer will also be the same as the interviewer.

they also said they will try to admit people in mid-June so long as they file their stuff before mid-May. However, there won't likely be enough places and so some will have to wait till July.

nah, interview, orientation, and cermeony are all scheduled for the same week. that's how first department does it. i guess if you flunk the itnerview they cancel the ceremony, or something
