i wasn't given a contract yet, i'm not sure what my hours are supposed to be. I'm hoping this is going to be 9-5 unless there's a big project and then I stay late? I can't imagine working more than 8 hrs/day... already i can barely function studying for 3 hrs/day, unless i take extended breaks/hit the gym in between.

It will either be 40-45 hours a week or 80-100. Rarely in between. Small law is a complete crapshoot...good luck.

Since it's MFH, I'm guessing it's probabaly 80-100.

I'm in a similar firm in Manhattan.

I work minimum 10-11 hours a day, and stay later from time to time when we have filings due.
