The problem is that the number of decent blue collar jobs is rapidly shrinking. Cities and towns that were once solidly blue-collar middle-class are devolving into second-world dumps.

My brother is a truck driver and they are ALWAYS looking for people with the specialized license. Most of the big companies (UPS, FedEx, etc.) pay a decent wage.
The bottom of the barrel kids at shit colleges should probably be looking at this type of work. But most think it's below them |

if you owned your own business, yes, your statement is true.
if you were a union type of guy, no.
at the same time, you probably won't be making six figures forever, unless you land something inhouse after biglaw. |
