metal bands are not comfortable, IMO. Especially if you wear it at work. I would go leather or rubber band. I prefer a black face, but own a white faced watch.

Never thought of the comfort angle. I wear a watch with a heavy stainless band. I pop it off all the time when I do any significant amount of typing.

Brown leather?

This makes sense, I think black face goes with bracelet better and white face goes with leather. But the black face and bracelet is a more flashy looking watch.

depends on what you want to spend. if you are getting a cheap watch. then brown leather w/white face. if you want 1 nice watch to wear everyday I really like my vintage Rolex 1016. I think it is the most classic watch of all time and it is subtle but good looking. stainless w/ black face (looks kind of navy blue)

I don't think that is a bad looking watch, bu it is a bit un-symetrical and too complicated. the function of the two small dials seems (like the daytona) to be about the looks not function. Do you need a watch to tell you what month it is?
