Absolutely not. I live in Harlem (ON THE PARK) and the people moving in overall are young professionals with dogs that want access to the Park at a reasonable price. South Harlem (SoHa, as I've seen it called), at the very least, will be gentrified very, very soon.

not what the market says. maybe the newcomers are not 'yuppies' in the finance/law sense, but demand for apartments continues for increase, as evidenced by the fact that rents have skyrocketed since 2008 despite new construction. a lot of people in new media and tech have moved in.

I live in Harlem, dipshit. It is definitely not 20-30% of the population unless you are right on CP or Morningside. If you go off even a bit you will be the odd man out if you are white. The exception is on weekends when tourists are all over.

three of them are over 20%. and for all of them the population of whites grew between 103%-2,460% from 2000 to 2010. There's no reason to believe that this trend hasn't continued since then, given that rents have kept rising. So the 2010 census is an underestimate of the current white population.
