Yesterday my city had its local "Bar Luncheon". I was sitting at a table with a couple of judges and one of the other lawyers brought up the latest ABA job stats:
Young Lawyer: I read in the ABA that only 55% of new law grads are employed full-time in a legal job.
Judge 1: Wow, that's really serious.
Judge 2: Ya know, I just think that if you can just get out there and start off and find your niche, you can really make a name for yourself.
I wanted so badly to reply with, "You Goddamn Shitboomer. . ."
I'm convinced that older lawyers are just willfully ignorant to the reality that new grads face ITE.
