Just because you got subsidized loans at 3% or whatever doesn't mean everyone is like you or that I didn't do my research beforehand. Sorry I didn't want to gamble with ONLY 190k debt from Michigan/UVA by taking the scholly. And I lol that you old XOers rail against boomers but can't fathom anyone paying full price for a T6 now that interest rates and tuition are higher. |

That's like 1600/month purely on interest.
Put another way, the average BIGLAW associate lasts about 3 years. You'd pay off that much in loans in 3 years if you put EVERY SINGLE PENNY of your paycheck into loans. |

When I graduated loans were 3% when I consolidated. Having a lot of debt was like 100k. It was still manageable.
It is just sad. You should consider kill self bro. Sorry, but I mean you likely wont pay off 270k especially living a MFH lifestyle |

You'll want to stay in Biglaw for five years. If you can do that and live a law school lifestyle for five years, you can pay this off. |

because i took out less than 200k and ended up with slightly more than 200k by the time of repayment
that said, you're looking at 7 years minimum if you live like a reasonable person
and no matter what, do not have kids until you have paid off your loans |
