Exactly. The essays are state specific in the states that actually matter. If you start writing MBE shit on the essays you fail.

BS. You can't pass this way. You can ignore the state multiple choice, but the essays are all state specific and you can't just regurgitate MBE law on them and know nothing else. Secured transaction, wills, trusts and estates, family law, agency, all that shit is state law and all that shit has to be studied,

The bar doesnt expect you to know much about NF. Insurance law in general is too hyper technical for them to expect much. All they want you to know is the very basics you would need to know should a car accident case walk through your door. The barbri NF outline is only a couple pages long if I remember right. Nobody is going to put a Mallela question on the bar.

CC and ST only require route memorization of a few black letter rules too. Its laziness to go into the bar and to just discount that shit. You have no one to blame but yourself if you fucked up.

State Bars are low level rackets designed to cut down on competition. They don't give a shit whether you'll be a "productive member" of the bar or not. Long as they get DAT CHEDDA every year and DAT CLE DOLLA DOLLA BILLS YA'LL they're happy.

My first state Bar relied heavily on state law. For my 2nd state Bar I didn't even study the state-specific stuff b/c the exam was designed to moreso favor the MBE more than anything else.
